Be Proactive

The first thing to do before finding your dream home is find a great agent. That’s where I come in! My approach to helping my clients find their perfect home begins by listening to exactly what they are looking for. Clear communication, diligence, expertise and the negotiation skills combine to successfully find the ideal home.

Be Prepared

It is very important that you know exactly how much home you can afford. Determining your budget and getting prequalified early makes everything easier.

Be Specific

A successful home search is really nothing more than a big process of elimination. First you decide what's really important to you, as well as what just will not do. Then, start matching homes to your criteria. The more specific you are, the easier your home search.

Search & Tour

Using various apps and online sites, you can easily search on your own. Or, allow your agent to send new listings to you daily - ones that they have already 'scrubbed' to ensure that they are exactly what you're looking for. 

Make an Offer

This is where it's your agent's turn to truly shine. There are many more factors to making a great offer than just the purchase price. Closing date, type of financing you're securing, move-in day, and other contingencies work together to create a compelling offer that wins.

Escrow/Close

Escrow actually means 'to hold money.' In order to ensure fiduciary responsibilities are upheld, a neutral third party will close the transaction by receiving necessary funds from the Buyer and paying off all owed parties on behalf of the Seller (it takes about 30 days).

Move-in

Finally the home is yours! You can count on Sherri to provide you with trusted, verified resources to help make settling into your new home as easy as possible.
